  1. A banana is an elongatred,edible fruit-It is botanically a berry produced by several kinds of large berbaceous flowering plants in the genous Musa.
  2. Banana do not grow from a seed,but from a bulb or rhizome,and it takes 9 to 12 months from sowing a banana bulb to harvesting the fruit.
  3. The banana flowers appears in the 6th or 7th month.
  4. The soiul suitable for banana should be 0.5m in debth,rich,well drained,fertile,moisture retentive,containing plenty organic matter.
  5. The PH should be 6.5 - 7.5, Alluvial and volcanic soils are the best for banana cultivation.
